SKYPERION provides the capability to detect, identify, track and report unauthorised UAVs operating within a defined area for a defined period.  The system stays operational in all weathers, day and night. It requires the minimum number of operators, works with other counter-UAV capabilities and can be upgraded to deal with fresh challenges.

SKYPERION provides a simple-to-operate user interface that integrates the sensors deployed into a single solution. The software is fully configurable to suit the needs of any operator. But with a two-tier operation, a more expert operator can access detailed information if required.  In addition, the system can be configured using artificial intelligence to operate autonomously, maximising its efficacy.

SKYPERION uses minimum of 2 sensors to detect and geolocate the UAV and its controller. More sensors can be added and integrated into the system to extend coverage dependent on the size and shape of the area to be protected.

Possible UAV – (One characteristic)

Based on the sensors’ range, this is normally a Radio Frequency signature for the UAV being seen via the long-range detection system. It may allow users to “see” the video transmitter OR the controller link, both of which normally have clear signature

Probable UAV – (2 logically related characteristics)

A second detection result such as seeing both the controller and video signal operation in the same vicinity. Or being able to track an object’s location, identifying that the flight path is similar to a UAV. Could also be an IR detection of UAV, showing UAV characteristics

Certain UAV – (Visual contact by a trained observer or automated system)

If an Electro-Optical sensor is added and synchronised with SKYPERION, when a signal is detected the software automatically skews the EO camera round to each sensor’s line of bearing. Giving the operator an opportunity to achieve “eyes-on” the UAV

UAV to type – (Eg Phantom II/Phantom III/Inspire)

UAVs in operation present a certain signature to the RF Spectrum. Making it possible to identify the type of UAV being detected
